Trischberger Wins the Louisdor Prize Trial Race at Gestüt Birkhof

Victory number seven in their seventh start—Franz Trischberger and Henriettenhof’s Kinshasa won the qualifying round for the Louisdor Prize. The pair delivered a round marked by precise execution of the dressage movements. While the first piaffe was still clearly focused on forward movement, the Oldenburg mare piaffed almost exactly in place during the second. Only in the flying canter strides at two tempos was there a slight “tailwind.” The half-passes were less tense but could have been executed a bit straighter. The pair received a score of 71.526 percent.

Kinshasa, a daughter of Bordeaux, comes from the Oldenburg mare line of Kateste, which was particularly famous in the 1980s for the stallion Volturno, who competed in eventing at the World Championships with Otto Ammermann. Trischberger and Kinshasa placed tenth in the 2024 final of the Nuremberg Burg Cup. Now they want to return to Frankfurt.

Second place went to Leonie Laier and Dein Freund. The 10-year-old son of De Niro scored above the 70-percent mark (70.44c7). With 69.42 percent, Victoria Nielsen and Prinzessin Paula v. Fürsten-Look finished in third place. This pair also competed in the 2024 final of the Nuremberg Burg Cup. The true Bavarian duo placed ninth at that time.
