European Junior Show Jumping Championships in Hagen: German Children's Team Wins Bronze Behind Great Britain and the Netherlands
Germany’s “Spring-Children” Win European Championship Bronze in the Team Competition

Photo: sportfotos-lafrentz.de Three clear rounds by the first three riders secured the bronze medal for Team Germany at the European Show Jumping Championships in the under-14 age group, the Children’s division. Luisa Charlotte Brocks and Cordijana kicked things off, and Joelle Sprehe and Stalinda also rode clear rounds. Finally, Mila Osing and Capitaine delivered one of a total of twelve double-cleans in the European Nations Cup. This meant the German team maintained its score from the first round: 10.47 penalty points. Today’s course featured jumps up to 1.30 meters.
Tough break for Thomsen
Justus Thomsen, the fourth rider on the team, had to deal with two knockdowns. With 1.4 penalty points, he was still in a good position in the individual standings after the first round of the Nations Cup, which was held yesterday, Thursday.
Gold for Team GB
The gold medal was won by the team from Great Britain. Charlie Barker/Special Summer, Alexander Leggott/Blossom’s Billy Heinz, Mia Breen/Crack, and Tabby Morgen-Evans/Catoki had only one knockdown across two Nations Cup rounds. With a score of 5.61, Team GB took the victory.
The Dutch team was delighted to take second place and win the silver medal. Their lineup consisted of Wim Vos/Copacabana M, Mila Martens/Dublin von Overis, Messina Den Tuinder/Just a Moment, and Pedro Mansur/Hotmail des Forets. The Dutch team finished with a total of 7.1 penalty points.
A Famous Father, a Son Who Will Soon Be Famous: The Mansur Family
Pedro Mansur is the son of internationally successful show jumper Yuri Mansur. While his father competes for his native Brazil, his son Pedro rides for the Netherlands. The family lives there and also runs their show jumping stable in Venlo. Pedro is the Dutch Children’s Champion. After the three show jumping rounds the competitors have completed so far, he leads the individual standings (0.0). Behind him are the British riders Tabby Morgan-Evans (2.26) and Charlie Barker (2.68).
The top German rider is Mila Osing in sixth place (3.1). Joelle Sprehe is 21st in the provisional standings (6.43). Tomorrow, the individual title will be decided in a two-round jumping competition over 1.30 meters.
