An amateur rider named Elise Haas will take over the reins of the gray mare. She celebrates her 47th birthday in May, had stopped riding for a long time and now wants to start again. In previous years, she rode the KWPN stallion Mr. Blue, sire of Marcus Ehning’s World Cup winner Plot Blue and Olympic stallion Plot Blue, among others.
With Is-Minka, she now has a KWPN mare under the saddle with Olympic dressage pedigree. She comes from the Totilas family. Apart from that, however, the two horses don’t have much in common. Is-Minka is a Mylord Carthago daughter who has had some great successes with Steve Guerdat. They recently won the Leipzig Championships and were previously victorious in Basel.
Guerdat explained to his colleagues why he gave up the mare anyway, citing his long injury break due to his back problems. This led to financial losses. They had never actually wanted to sell Is-Minka, but Elise Haas made him an offer at the beginning of the year. She wanted to compete with the mare in 1.20 meter jumping competitions. She tried her out, it was a good fit and Guerdat agreed to give the grey mare away – on the condition that he would get her back after her career in the sport to breed with her.
