Another German victory on the Gothenburg course

In the saddle on the twelve-year-old OS gelding Conterno-Blue PS (by Veyron), he delivered the fastest of the three clear rounds in the jump-off in 36.54 seconds. His employer Paul Schockemöhle must have been delighted not only with the victory of his employee with a horse bred in Lewitz, but also with the fact that the second-fastest horse also grew up on his pastures in Mecklenburg: Crack Blue, a 15-year-old son of Conthargos, who carried the Swedish rider Linda Heed over the jump-off course in 38.18 seconds. Denmark’s Lars Bak Andersen and Leviathan were delighted with third place.
An anniversary and a family day
As the winner, Patrick Stühlmeyer was naturally delighted: “My horse jumped fantastically today. The last tournaments in Mechelen and Amsterdam were good, but today was really our day,” he beamed. Especially as it has been almost exactly ten years since he won at five-star level. That was in Sopot in 2016, when he rode Lacan, who was then sold. He hopes that he can keep Conterno-Blue for a while longer.
Second-placed Linda Heed had two reasons to be happy: her daughter Isabelle had won the pony jumping competition in the morning and today was a successful comeback for her Crack Blue after a long dry spell. The pair were very successful until 2022. Then Crack Blue was injured and only returned to the sport in August 2025. Heed slowly built him up again. Until today, he had only jumped competitions up to a maximum of 1.45 meters. “It was great to be able to show everyone what a fantastic horse I ride,” said the Swede.
The third-placed horse, Lars Bak Andersen’s Leviathan HS, a nine-year-old Holsteiner by Livello, also has a special history. The HS stands for the Swedish Hyperion Stud. He was originally intended to remain a stallion and was prepared for licensing. However, he had to be castrated for medical reasons. Lars Bak Andersen was to train him further so that he could be sold. As the gelding bred by Jan Herbert Detjens is rather small, rider and owner initially assumed that he would be a good 1.45 meter horse. But Leviathan quickly showed that he has more to offer, as we saw today. Now selling him is no longer an issue for the time being.
Further results

Directly behind him, Eiken Sato demonstrated the impressive form of his horses, this time with the OS gelding Campai by Chacco-Blue from Harm Thormählen’s successful breeding program, taking fifth place in 34.58 seconds.
Philipp Schulze-Topphoff had eight penalty points with Vivantas. Johanna Beckmann and Alphajet had 16.
